BOE TARIFF NO. 6000 SERIES (Supplemented)
The BOE Tariff 6000 series contains all Hazardous Material
Regulations currently issued by the US Department of Transportation.
Unlike the US Code of Federal Regulations, which is published just
once each year by the Government Printing Office, the BOE Tariff is
maintained current on a quarterly basis. The Tariff is available in
both soft cover and looseleaf 3-ring binder format. The price
includes three supplements issued quarterly. Subscribers who prefer
not to use supplements can purchase a subscription in either bound
or loose-leaf format completely
reissued each quarter with all updates included. In addition to
the US DOT HazMat regulations, the Tariff includes a column in the
§172.101 Hazardous Materials Table with additional information
directing the user to the listing for each chemical, the appropriate
guide number, and important excerpts from the 2004 Emergency
Response Guidebook. For the users convenience, all the guides and
important excerpts from the guidebook are included in the Tariff.
The Tariff also contains:
• User charts to assist in using the regulations
• UN/NA cross reference table
• Federal Hazardous Materials Transportation Act
• Publisher’s Note preceding each Part or Subpart
summarizing in plain language the contents covered
• Additional codes in Col. 1 of §172.101 Hazardous Materials
Table identifying those materials that are hazardous
substances or marine pollutants
• Subject index
• Restrictions on accepting hazardous materials by rail
• Recommended methods for the safe loading and unloading of
non-pressure tank cars
