2008 EMERGENCY RESPONSE GUIDEBOOK ON CD
Now Also
Available in Spanish!
The 2008 Emergency Response Guidebook is available on CD. All of the
information appears on the computer screen, and when printed looks
exactly as it does in the guidebook issued by the US Department of
Transportation, Transport Canada and Secretariat of Transport and
Communications in Mexico.
Navigating through the information is quick and easy. The user is
able to go immediately to a specific section and return using
bookmarks with simple point and click operations. Extensive
hyperlinks in the Identification Number Index, Index of Chemical
Names, and the Table of Isolation and Protective Action Distances
make for easy browsing. In addition, if the hazardous material is a
toxic inhalation hazard (TIH) material, the identification number
preceding the guide number in both the Identification Number Index
and Index of Chemical Names is in red and linked to the information
in the Table of Initial Isolation and Protective Action Distances.
If the material is water reactive, the identification number in the
Table of Initial Isolation and Protective Action Distances is in red
and linked to the entry in the List of Dangerous Water-Reactive
Materials. Users have full search capabilities throughout the CD.
The CD also includes high-quality graphics of all the US Department
of Transportation colored placards. The placards can be copied and
pasted in other documents for customized training programs.
